Euronet Worldwide acquired Paynet Romania
The intermediary in payments and electronic transactions Euronet Worldwide bought Paynet Romania, the company which offers integrated ATM card processing services and POS services for merchants.
Transaction value was not disclosed.
With 44 employees, Paynet operates 720 ATMs and 1,700 POS terminals in Romania. The company processes approximately 15 million transactions each year and is certified as a provider of Visa and MasterCard. Among Paynet customers are included 13 banks and five non-financial institutions.
According to Euronet Worldwide, Paynet Romania acquisition will generate revenues of $ 3 million in the first year.
The American company has around 2,700 employees and annual revenues of over one billion dollars.

American company Euronet Worldwide, Inc. announced the acquisition of Romanian card payment processor PayNetwork SA (Paynet) and estimated that this company will have revenues of 3$ million in the first year after purchase. Euronet is present in over 40 countries and manages nearly 13,000 ATMs.
